The Ford Plantation played host to a successful Georgia Open from Thursday, August 4 through Sunday, August 7. The Georgia PGA, the participants, and the membership enjoyed four days of exceptional golf. The entire community was showcased and everyone who participated could not stop gushing about the beauty of The Ford Plantation.
From the time golfers arrived to the time they left, and everything in between, the experience of our guests this week was outstanding. Our guests were absolutely blown away by our professional staff and outstanding facilities. (Photo, from left: Nelson Caron, Low Amateur Mallonee, Ryan Skipton, Kyle Johnson, and Champion Tuten.)
The Ford Plantation community showed the rest of Georgia what we already knew: The Ford Plantation is a very special place.
Former Armstrong State All-American golfer Shad Tuten of Savannah fired a closing round of 3-under-par 69 to capture the 63rd Georgia Open.
