Sports Barn

Our Sports Barn boasts a wide range of cardio and resistance training machines, as well as open training areas, and locker rooms with saunas. Personal trainers are available to meet your fitness needs with everything from rehabbing an injury to sport specific golf training.

Like most things at The Ford Plantation, paddle sports are low-key and always available on our three well-kept Har-Tru courts and a European squash court. Ford’s tight-knit community means you’ll never have to look far for a doubles partner. Simply grab your friends and take to the courts. For practice between matches, a ball machine is available, and lessons can be arranged at your convenience.

John Lindsey, Fitness Director

John has spent more than 10 years working in the fitness field, and in that time has acquired a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from The University of Georgia and a Master’s of Science in Sports Medicine from Armstrong State University. He has worked with Division 1 athletes, in physical therapy clinics helping patients rehab from injury, and has experience working with neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis. John is also a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist and a Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor. He has a passion for human movement and believes everyone’s exercise goals should be centered around moving better.
